I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with extensive training in psychodynamic, gestalt, person-centred, integrative, and relational psychotherapy. In my counselling practice, I integrate somatic techniques and movement to help clients access and process deep-seated emotional issues that are often stored in the body. By focusing on bodily sensations and incorporating mindful movement, I guide clients to tune into the physical manifestations of their emotions, such as tension, pain, or discomfort. This approach allows us to bypass the intellectualizing that can sometimes hinder emotional healing and instead connect directly with the root of the issue. Movement, in particular, helps to release trapped energy and emotions, facilitating a deeper, more embodied healing process. This method is especially beneficial for those who may struggle to articulate their feelings verbally, as it provides an alternative pathway to understanding and resolving emotional challenges.
